Foamboard Printing

Foamboard Printing For Large Format Display Graphics

Foamboard printing is widely used in many printed large format display graphics applications because it is very lightweight – yet it stays rigid and flat.

Traditionally foamboard displays had been made by mounting printed paper to the surface but this process always created the risk that the foamboard panel would not stay flat. By printing direct to the media we ensure that the foamboard remains completely flat.

As a leading provider of large format printing services, SAS Graphics design, print and install Foamboard display graphics for businesses throughout London and the UK. We stock a range of foamboard products from the ultra high quality Kappa mount, with is grey centre, to basic white centred materials and others.

In addition we use a range of other light weight boards including:

  • Smart-X is a lightweight foamboard with surfaces of UV and weather resistant solid polystyrene and a core of expanded polystyrene that is completely moisture resistant which makes it ideal for external applications for up to 2 years. It is PVC free and recyclable.
  • Re-board or Dufaylite board which is a honeycomb structured board which comes in thicknesses up to 18mm. It is very strong yet lightweight and can be cut and assembled to create 3D structures as well as durable light-weight displays.

Foamboard is printed with our flatbed UV Direct to Media printer which allows us to reach a maximum size of 1.5mx 3.0m in a single section while larger displays are produced using multiple panels.

We cut foamboard with our Zund CNC cutter which creates an extremely accurate cut and this is used to cut foamboard to shape when creating panels such as standees. Foamboard has the additional advantage that it is easily cut on site so is great for exhibition displays and fabrication.

Foamboard is used for;

  • Promotional Displays
  • Gallery Captions
  • Standee Cut outs
  • Hanging Signs
